Vignette Skull

Calyn Williams of Vignette Noir created this acrylic painting.

This type of vignette is an arrangement of objects in a pleasing manner. They can be a collection of related, or obscure items. It's most popular in home design, on surfaces and walls. In this case, Calyn had painted a striking vignette of a horned animal skull, a cardinal, and the remains of a clock. This appears to be her version of a coo-coo clock. I suspect that if this was an actual clock that when the clock struck a hour, an eerie sound would resonate from within the skull. To see more of Calyn's work check out her FacebookEtsy, and Website.
