104. Vinyl Skull

Vinyl LP Cut with Scroll Saw. 2nd attempt (the first one cracked in half). I wanted to make this from white vinyl, but I couldn't find one cheap enough to sacrifice. Maybe I'll make another if/when I do find one. And yes, I do still have a working turntable.

What record is that?

I'm curious to know who was on the disc. I guess I assumed with your CD skull that it was just a CD-R, I never speculated that music (or a copy of it) had been sacrificed for your art.

It's a copy of the soundtrack to Jesus Christ Superstar that I found without a sleeve a while ago(I think it was in my basement when I moved into my house). The CD however was just a used CD-R.

Wouldn't it be really creepy if post #107 was the record put back together and it turned radiant white?

we have a working turntable too, and we even listen dewy-eyed to old scratchy Joan Baez records on it.
nice skull - the black vinyl is great - doesn't need to be white, and this skull looks like it has some kind of 'stencil' potential that could be explored??
